Karen Geiger is an experienced teacher, facilitator, coach and consultant.

Karen Geiger is President of Karen Geiger & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm founded in 1993 specializing in leadership and organizational development. From 1994 to 2013 she was a member of the Leadership Faculty of the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. She holds a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University, an M.S. in Education from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Rochester.

Before starting her own business, Karen was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America (formerly NationsBank) Corporation, where she held positions as Director of Corporate Training and Development, Director of Career Planning and Director of Work/Family Programs. She has served as Stream Co-Chair for the international Equality Diversity and Inclusion Conference and co-authored an article with Dr. Cheryl Jordan for the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Journal (2014) entitled "The Role of Societal Privilege in the Definitions and Practices of Inclusion".

She was the Chair of the Board of Directors of Dore Academy from 2007-2012, is a past President of Women Executives, and has been on the Boards of the Mecklenburg Partnership for Children, Success by Six, Community School of the Arts, Charlotte Mecklenburg Education Foundation, Child Care Resources, Inc., Carolinas Diversity Council, Conference Board Work and Family Research Council, and Chaired the Corporate Champions Task Force. She has been married for 34 years to Damon Rumsch and is the proud mother of two sons: Adam (32) and Michael (30) and a new daughter-in-law Virginie (30).

Online

Everything DiSC Workplace Certification is your best resource to gain foundational knowledge and tools for facilitating Everything DiSC. Designed with your busy schedule in mind, this online course gives you the flexibility of self-paced learning, paired with live-collaborative sessions led by Wiley’s expert trainers.

Increase your confidence and competence in delivering Everything DiSC Workplace in your organization. This course offers rigorous new content on the principles of the DiSC® model and the supporting research. During the live sessions, you will practice facilitating small groups and explore challenging scenarios that could arise during workshops. You’ll also learn how to keep Everything DiSC alive within your organization by creating a culture of DiSC and explore MyEverythingDiSC, the mobile-friendly, interactive learning portal that is exclusive to Everything DiSC.

This program Includes:

  • Four modules of self-directed and live collaborative learning (each requiring three to five hours of time per week), conducted over a four week period
  • Active knowledge checks to help participants assess how well they understand the content and to improve learning and retention
  • Final Certification exam (self-directed/graded activity)
