Deborah Avrin, SPHR, held a variety of top-level human resources leadership positions in both the financial services and manufacturing industries before beginning her training and consulting company in 1999. In April 2000 she saw the power that the DiSC® suite of products brought to her client’s organizations, and incorporated them in many of her training programs. Deborah’s company Management Skills Resource Inc. works with organizations that want to build the confidence, competence, and courage of their management teams through creative training workshops. Her training style is interactive and stimulating which makes her a sought after facilitator for human resources and management development workshops. She truly believes that all managers have the potential to be great managers! Deborah authored The Management Map book series which can be used to facilitate workshops or be given as a day-one promotion gift to immediately get the newly promoted on the road to becoming great managers.

Her educational background includes a BBA in Human Resources and a Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior. Deborah holds a lifetime Senior Professional in Human Resources certification and has been an instructor for the PHR/SPHR certification prep course through the University of Dallas since 2001.

    Everyone has a unique management style. Managers who utilize their strengths in managing as well as develop an ability to adapt to other styles are more effective in their role. The Everything DiSC® Management Profile teaches managers how to bring out the best in each employee, increasing employee engagement by creating a unique motivational environment for each, and adapting to their delegating and developing techniques. Participants begin the program focusing on developing an understanding of their own management preferences and tendencies and then develop action plans on flexing their style to increase employee satisfaction and productivity.   • The Work of Leaders®

    What are the skills of leadership? Using the framework of Vision, Alignment, and Execution, Work of Leaders® encourages leaders to understand their own leadership behaviors and how they impact their effectiveness. Participants learn best practices in crafting a vision, building alignment for the vision, and championing execution of the vision. Using customized feedback and video examples participants begin the process of creating a vision for their department and writing communication plans for their teams. Length: 6 hours

    In the course of performing their day-to-day responsibilities, managers and supervisors make decisions that have the potential of exposing the company to potential liability by inadvertently violating one or more of the many laws impacting the workplace. The workshop begins with a review of the various laws that govern the workplace. Designed with your busy schedule in mind, this online course gives you the flexibility of self-paced learning, paired with live-collaborative sessions led by Wiley’s expert trainers.

Increase your confidence and competence in delivering Everything DiSC Workplace in your organization. This course offers rigorous new content on the principles of the DiSC® model and the supporting research. During the live sessions, you will practice facilitating small groups and explore challenging scenarios that could arise during workshops. You’ll also learn how to keep Everything DiSC alive within your organization by creating a culture of DiSC and explore MyEverythingDiSC, the mobile-friendly, interactive learning portal that is exclusive to Everything DiSC.
