Bruce Scott of Space to Focus Coaching and Consulting

Bruce Scott founded Space to Focus Coaching and Consulting following a career as a nonprofit executive director. His executive leadership spanned 34 years in Kansas City, including 16 years with United Cerebral Palsy. Creating and sustaining community support services for people with disabilities requires organizational skills, the ability to connect to many people, and a vision and commitment to quality of life for everyone. Bruce brings that commitment as well as a belief in the power of community organizations and their leaders to his coaching and consulting clients.

Since launching Space to Focus Coaching and Consulting Bruce has provided services to over 60 organizations. His original vision for the business - Making a difference in the lives of people "on a mission" - has been fulfilled in new ways every year.

    I am pleased to offer team development services utilizing the best program created in years - The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™. Based on the model described by Patrick Lencioni in the internationally best-selling books "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team" and "The Advantage," the program has a simple goal: facilitate a learning experience that helps professionals discover what it takes to build a truly cohesive and effective team.

    This unique program is assessment-based and action-oriented. Utilizing a view of the team through a self-assessment, your team learns how cohesive and effective teams behave and creates action plans to increase those behaviors. The program (in one or three day training formats) delivers more than theory and principles - it brings your team into action.

  • Everything DiSC Workplace®

    The Everything DiSC Workplace® Profile provides participants with valuable insights that will help them better understand themselves AND others, all while offering actionable ways to strengthen their relationships in the workplace and better connect with each other.

    The model and assessment is the result of a four-year research and development effort which analyzed and distilled the work of prominent leadership researchers and identified leadership best practices.

Online

Everything DiSC Workplace Certification is your best resource to gain foundational knowledge and tools for facilitating Everything DiSC. Designed with your busy schedule in mind, this online course gives you the flexibility of self-paced learning, paired with live-collaborative sessions led by Wiley’s expert trainers.

Increase your confidence and competence in delivering Everything DiSC Workplace in your organization. This course offers rigorous new content on the principles of the DiSC® model and the supporting research. During the live sessions, you will practice facilitating small groups and explore challenging scenarios that could arise during workshops. You’ll also learn how to keep Everything DiSC alive within your organization by creating a culture of DiSC and explore MyEverythingDiSC, the mobile-friendly, interactive learning portal that is exclusive to Everything DiSC.

This program Includes:

  • Four modules of self-directed and live collaborative learning (each requiring three to five hours of time per week), conducted over a four week period
  • Active knowledge checks to help participants assess how well they understand the content and to improve learning and retention
  • Final Certification exam (self-directed/graded activity)

Everything DiSC® Certification

In Person

With a primary purpose to increase confidence and competence in delivering Everything DiSC Workplace®, this course offers rigorous new content on the principles of the DiSC® model and supporting research. Learners will gain the expertise and credentials needed to deliver Everything DiSC Workplace within their organization by completing online pre-work and two days of practical application led by Wiley's expert trainers.

In this course, learners will:

  • Gain expertise in the Everything DiSC model and supporting research
  • Demonstrate the ability to use the Everything DiSC Workplace reports
  • Customize the Everything DiSC Workplace program to meet specific participant needs
  • Navigate challenging scenarios that could arise during a workshop or coaching session
  • Create strategies to promote a DiSC-based culture
  • Explore MyEverythingDiSC®, a mobile-friendly, interactive learning portal that is exclusive to the Everything DiSC product suite

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive the credential of Certified Everything DiSC Workplace facilitator.
