About Us

James Dykstra
Everything DiSC® expert James Dykstra

James Dykstra graduated from Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration. Like many other Liberal Arts graduates, he found an Associate position with a small tax firm in Garden City, Kansas. Finding enjoyment in the “art of business,” he went onto work for an oil and gas exploration company in Garden City. It was in this role that he found his passion for management and entrepreneurship, and most importantly, the ability to help people become more successful in their own careers. During his time in Garden City, James also completed his Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Phoenix.

In June of 2014, James bought Resources Unlimited a training and development company in Des Moines, IA.

Since February of 2015, he became certified in Everything DiSC and has earned facilitator accreditation in The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, a Wiley course. He is excited to assist his clients with the tools and resources they need to minimize the stress in their lives and provide them a better way of developing their people.

In his off-time, James prefers to be with his wife watching their daughter grow up and enjoying the small things in life; like his daughter dancing to the movie “Frozen.” In addition, James likes to be outside experiencing nature via hunting, fishing, and of course the beach when he’s near the ocean.

Our Solutions

  • Leadership and Management Training

Your leaders are your company's greatest asset to drive its strategy forward.

Everything DiSC Work of Leaders focuses on three key areas: Vision, Alignment, and Execution and importance of all three in leadership.

Everything DiSC Work of Leaders is a classroom training that uses the Everythign DiSC Work of Leaders Profile, engaging facilitation, and a personalized action plan for your team or individual to execute after the session.

  • Conflict Management

Building Stronger Teams by Facing Your Differences

Conflict is pretty much inevitable when you work with others.

People have different viewpoints and, under the right set of circumstances, those differences escalate to conflict. How you handle that conflict determines whether it works to the team's advantage, or contributes to its demise.

  • Communication

The purpose of communication is to get your message across to others clearly and unambiguously.

Doing this involves effort from both the sender of the message and the receiver. And it's a process that can be fraught with error, with messages often misinterpreted by the recipient. When this isn't detected, it can cause tremendous confusion, wasted effort and missed opportunity.

In fact, communication is only successful when both the sender and the receiver understand the same information as a result of the communication.

  • Team Building

You've probably been involved in a team-building activity at some point.

Perhaps it was a weekend retreat, or an afternoon at the climbing gym learning to rely on one another, or a day on the golf course getting to know everyone.

But, whether or not you and your colleagues enjoyed the experience, what happened when your team members returned to the office? Did they go back to their usual behavior – perhaps arguing over small assignments, or refusing to cooperate with each other? The 'day of fun' may have been a nice break from business, but did your colleagues actually use any of the lessons that they learned once they were back in the workplace?

Everything DiSC is a simple tool that team members will use in every area of their life to better understand themselves and their team members.

  • Increase Sales Teams Success

Can you improve your existing Sales force?

For companies focused on growth, one of the biggest opportunities is making sales more productive.

Everything DiSC Sales is a proven solution that has helped sales professionals perform two, three or even four times better by effectively recognize and adapt to their customers’ unique buying styles—and close more sales.

  • Certification and Training

    Why certify in DISC?

Certification provides trainers with in-depth training on the theory and practice of DISC, giving you more skill and confidence when leading DISC programs in a coaching, training, or consulting setting.

Certification also provides you the trainer a facilitation kit, better understanding of each Everything DiSC profile, customizeable videos and slides for your specific training need so that you may perform your very own DiSC training session.
