The saying "opportunity only knocks once" has been a motivating force throughout my life. After a 20-year career managing major construction projects, including the London Olympics, I was given the chance to lead an internal start-up. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity I couldn't pass up. Seizing this opportunity introduced me to the importance of coaching. Transitioning from a technical expert to an executive leader meant developing strong leadership and strategic management skills. That and learning to learn about myself - not entirely comfortable. My achievements include: • Driving multi-million-pound building projects at FTSE 100 index and Euronext Paris listed companies • Transforming a loss-making venture into a £75 million turnover business in seven years • Boosting profits by identifying, exiting and renegotiating loss making contracts • Acquisition and integration of VC backed owner operated business • Developing high performance teams through purpose-driven coaching • Overseeing senior leadership and organisational teams < 2200 people spread across 254 sites I am a firm believer in the importance of cognitive diversity.
