Campbell accumulated nearly 35 combined years of small business ownership, as well as private-sector and public-sector leadership experience. She spent 28 years in public service serving as a senior administrator of a Carnegie R-1 research university and a local community college. Her leadership and technical expertise include public administration, grant administration, economic data analytics, workforce development, community development, applied research methods, strategic planning, and project management.  She spent five years as a quality engineer and manager in household products manufacturing and specialized in quality assurance, lean manufacturing, process improvement and six-sigma methods.
Campbell and her husband have co-owned a small agriculture business for more than three decades, and the couple have mentored numerous other small business startups. She earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, master’s degree in workforce training and development, and a doctorate degree in international development.
