Owner & Lead Trainer, Dan Kaplan

Dan Kaplan is driven by the belief that anything is possible if we can just learn to talk to each other.

As a mountain-climbing expedition leader, Dan has guided many teams through difficult conversations and high-altitude danger.

Combined with his nearly 30 years of communications leadership experience across the public, non-profit, and private sectors, Dan helps leaders and teams overcome communication dysfunction – challenges such as silos, information hoarding, internal politics, power plays, giving and receiving feedback, sloppy management, virtual communication, issue avoidance, fear of speaking up, and ineffective presentations.

Through leadership, management, and team communications workshops, Confident Communicators, LLC helps organizations build trust, master conflict, achieve commitment, embrace accountability, and focus on results.

Dan is a graduate of the University of Maine (MA, English) and the University of Maryland (BA, English & Business). Dan lives in Baltimore with his wife and three children, has visited 40 countries, and in his spare time raises money for breast cancer research by climbing mountains.
