Barbara Thomason is proud to own LeaderShift LLC a training & consulting firm serving organizations navigating important changes. LeaderShift specializes in leadership and team development programs, strategic planning, non-profit board development and assessments to facilitate the learning process. Barbara Thomason has been a training and development professional for over 35 years in corporate settings, non-profit organizations and as a consultant. Most recently she was the president and CEO of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, serving the business community of northwest Harris County. She previously served as the dean of corporate and continuing education at Lone Star College-North Harris in Houston. She joined Lone Star College-Montgomery in 1994 developing customized programs for business and industry. Prior to joining the college district, she owned her own franchise business, Gymboree, and worked in supervisory and management training and development for the American General companies (now AIG). Barbara holds a BA in psychology with honors from The University of Texas at Austin and an MS in management specializing in human resource development from Houston Baptist University. Her passion is leadership development and mentoring others to stretch themselves.
