Karen is the president and founder of Innovative Advisors, Inc. and enjoys utilizing her background in Human Services, Human Resources, and Business Management, along with her financial experience to serve her clients. She has past experience working at Barrick Goldstrike, where she worked in HR. Karen has had the pleasure of working side by side with people to help them find solutions to their needs or concerns. She finds it rewarding to help people understand the things they don't know or discover something new. She is always asking people what they are excited about and looking for ways she can help them develop, identify and reach goals. Karen's favorite phrase when working with clients is that you don't know what you don't know, which is why she wants to help provide her clients the tools they need to be successful. Karen witnessed a similar passion to create something stunning and a drive to help others learn the tools necessary to be successful from her father who was the band director at Elko High School for many years. Karen's plans for her clients echo this same mission and she often finds ways to let her creativity shine through. Outside of the office, Karen can likely be found watching movies (her guilty pleasure are cheesy love stories), making good use of her creativity (baking, drawing, and decorating are some of her favorites), or spending time with family. She especially loves adoring, talking about, and spending time with her grandchildren.
